At Wild Harbour the sustainability and traceability of our fish is of the utmost importance. Below are the associations that we are affiliated with and who share our ethos along with other groups that many of our fishermen work closely with

Cornwall Sustainability Awards

"CSA aims to encourage, reward and gain recognition for the excellent work businesses are doing to improve their own sustainability, and that of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as a whole."

Cornwall Good Seafood Guide

"Cornwall's fishing industry has never been so sustainable, and Cornish seafood is renowned for its quality and taste. This guide brings you all the information you need to choose high quality Cornish seafood, harvested with minimal impact on the marine environment."

Fishermen's Associations

Responsible Fishing Scheme

"The Responsible Fishing Scheme has been developed to raise standards in the catching sector, enabling those within the seafood supply chain to demonstrate their commitment to the responsible sourcing of seafood. The RFS is the only global standard that audits compliance on board fishing vessels, including ethical and welfare criteria."

South West Hand line Fisherman’s Association

"The SWHFA was set-up over 20 years ago to represent the many handline mackerel fishermen that were working from South West. At that time the fishery was being threatened by large Scottish and Russian trawlers taking large schools of fish within miles of the Cornish coast. Today, most of the Association's members are still active handline mackerel fishermen, but many members also fish for bass, pollock and squid using handlines."
