Fresh Wild Anchovies
There isn’t a tin insight for our Cornish Anchovies are sustainable, fresh, and whole. A fantastic flavour experience, straight out of the sea, and not remotely like tinned anchovies fillets. Classed as an oil-rich fish, anchovies are popular as a pizza topping and are delicious blitzed into pastes and sauces like salsa verde and bagna càuda.
Containing high amounts of proteins, vitamins A, B, D, and niacin which can improve your skin health, immune system, and are vital for a healthy lifestyle. They have a high meat-to-fat ratio and are very rich in Omega-3 fatty acid’s which are essential for the normal functioning of the heart, blood vessels and the brain.

The stocks of anchovy in the Bay of Biscay are thought to have increased in our waters and are healthy at present and fishing effort in Cornish waters is low. Famous as the salty little fish you find on pizzas, anchovies are a small oily fish, with a strong flavour. Anchovies are used to add flavour to many dishes and sauces; they can commonly be found as toppings for pizzas, as a key ingredient in Worcestershire Sauce, and are widely used in Mediterranean cooking.
Many of our boats use handlines and rods to catch wild Anchovies. We have an excellent knowledge of what makes a good hand line fisherman, and many of our fisherman have been practising this method for over 30 years.
