Wild, Fresh & Fair

All our shellfish are caught or gathered by using the most sustainable methods avaialble to us here in the West Country. The Oyster Fishery that our Natives come from is over 300 years old and all the boats are powered by sail, the way it’s always been. Our stunning Lobster, Crab and Mylor Shrimp are all caught using pots, the old age way. Our beautiful hand dived Scallops are caught by skilled divers, to protect the local beds. 

We are an approved depuration centre in Cornwall and can purify and supply all of the species listed below direct from our premises in Hayle, Cornwall.

Cornish Black Queen Scallops

Our scallops are adored by chefs for their soft texture and delightfully mild, sweet and buttery flavour. An impressive showstopper on menus across Britain. 

Cornish Brown Crab

Landed straight from the waters off Cornwall daily, We believe Cornish Brown Crab is the very best: full of juicy meat and bursting with local flavour. 

Cornish Lobster

The cardinal of the seas, nothing says luxury like a whole, native Cornish lobster. Pot caught and landed fresh from the day boats of Cornwall daily. 

Cornish Native Oysters

Cornish Spider Crab

Our Spider Crabs are caught on the Cornish Coast, usually large in size with stunning spiky crustaceans. A prized delicacy for chef’s in Cornwall and beyond.

Cornish Velvet Crab

Our naturally wild Cornish Velvet Crabs are sustainably caught using small quantities when in season by local pot fisherman.  

Cornish Winkles

Stunning Cornish Winkles also known as sea snails are hand collected on the clear ocean shores of Cornwall. 

Dorset Cockles

Our beautiful cockles are a popular choice for restaurants across Britain, they are small with a salty and compliment most dishes. 

Dorset Chowder & Palourde Clams

Small but mighty, offering an authentic taste of the sea with fresh, salty flavour and sweetness comparable to mussels. 

Cornish Mylor Shrimp

Our Mylor Shrimp are caught in the Cornish estuaries and bay using lightweight prawn pots. Outrageously beautiful, sustainable and locally sourced.

Wild Harbous Ocean Mussels

Mussels are in abundence on the Cornish shores, they are one of the most sustainable fish to source in Cornwall and are they absolutely delicious.   

Certified Shellfish Depuration Centre Based in Hayle, Cornwall 

We are proud to be an approved shellfish depuration centre in Cornwall and can supply purified shellfish direct from our premises based in the beautiful town of Hayle, Cornwall.

The process of depuration is where shellfish such as scallops, oysters, clams and mussels are placed into a clean water environment using ultraviolet light to purify the water for a period of time to allow purging of biological contaminants and physical impurities such as sand and silt.

The clear waters of the Cornish coast are home to Britain’s finest seafood and shellfish. The daily catch from local day boats lands fresh Cornish crab and lobster, magnificent line-caught sea bass in season, mackerel, pollack, sole and place. Wonderful Cornish native oysters, mussels and hand dived king scallops. But with over 40 local species, from  Cornish Sole to Sardines, the truth is we never know what the tide will bring in.
